On Sunday Sam Gordon will be speaking at the TFC in person services in the Gairoch Community Hall at 11am and 5pm. Sam has been a regular speaker over the years and is well known for his speaking ministry and for his ministry through Bible Commentaries of which he has written many.
Stuart will lead the 11am service and Colin will lead the 5pm service. As usual, please do let either of us know if you wish to come along. With their being two services there should be availability for everyone to attend at least one service on the day, if not two. The Together For Christ Sunday services are taken by Stuart at 11am in the Community Hall and Colin in Kinlochewe at 1pm. Both these services will be available on Facebook as well.
Stuart continues his series in 2 Corinthians and I will be looking at Psalm 47, 'Clapping for the King'. This Psalm calls us to applaud the Lord because He is Awesome (v2-4), he has Ascended (v5-7) and he will Assemble (v8-9). Hope you can make it; please remember to book a seat ahead of time and if you have booked and cannot make it please do let us know also. This morning at 11am in the Community Hall and uploaded to Facebook, Colin will be leading the TFC Service of worship, preaching on Psalm 46, 'Creation, Culture and Conflicts'. Where do you turn to or go to when real troubles arise? Some people respond in Fight, others Flight and still others Freeze, or maybe a combination of all 3! But Psalm 46 calls us to respond in Faith in God who is our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in troubled times. So we'll consider Psalm 46, when Creation Groans (v1-3), Culture Turns (v4-7) and Conflicts Abound (v8-11), turn in faith to God.
Stuart will be leading online Service at 5pm, looking at 2nd Samuel 2.10-32. On 30th May we have the well known guest preacher Sam Gordon coming to Gairloch for two inperson services in the Community Hall - 11am and 5pm - which will both also be Livestreamed to Facebook. Contact Colin or Stuart to reserve a seat at either or both services. Donnie Kyle is leading the TFC in person 11am service in the Gairloch Community Hall on Sunday and Colin will lead the TFC 1pm in person service in Kinlochewe. A pre-recorded video of this service will be uploaded for viewing at 5pm. I will be looking at Psalm 45, with the sermon title, 'The Band, the Bridegroom and the Bride'. Inspired by the sight and knowledge of the King the writer pens Psalm 45 describing his Reputation (v2), Reign (v6-7), Redolence (v8-9) and Return (v3-5, v16-17). He then urges the Bride to Concentrate (v10), Reciprocate (v11b), Appreciate (v12) and Radiate (v13-14).
Please do remember to let us know if you wish to attend the in person services and if you have booked but are unable to attend please do let us know also. Colin will be leading the TFC in-person Community Hall service and the online 11am service on Sunday, looking at Psalm 44, 'Beaten, Baffled and Battle Scars'. The Psalmist offers a helpful reflection in the face of adverse circumstances as he Connects God with the Past (v1-3), Confirms God is in the Present (v4-8), Confronts God with a Paradox (v9-22) and Cries to God in Prayer (v23-26).
Stuart will lead the TFC in-person and online 5pm service in Aultbea continuing his series in 2 Samuel, looking at 2.1-9, The coming King in David, who also points forwards to Jesus, offering himself to God, to his Friends, and to his Enemies. Please do book your seats for both these services and if you have booked and are unable to attend please do let us know so someone else can take your place. |
