This Sunday Colin will be leading the in-person TFC service in the Community Hall at 11am. This service will also be live streamed on Facebook as usual. We now have a much increased capacity for the hall so there's no need to feel awkward about taking up a space. I'll be preaching from Joshua 7, 'The Awful Story of Achan'. In the chapter we see the Genus of Humanity, the God of Holiness and the Gospel of Hope. Stuart will lead the 5pm service on Facebook, beginning a new series looking at the seven signs in John, starting with Jesus turning water into wine in 2.1-11.
Looking forward to Sunday, the TFC 11am in person service will be led by Stuart in the hall, looking at 2 Corinthians 5.12-61; this will also be livestreamed and can be accessed here https://youtu.be/oAH6U7Q6A4w
Colin will be leading the TFC 4pm in person service in Kinlochewe looking at Joshua 6, 'The Taking of Jericho: Take 2', and will reflect on the Protagonist, the Plot and the Promotional. A pre-recorded uploaded video of the service will be aired on Facebook at 5pm as usual. If you wish to come along to either service please do let me know. Our capacity has increased with the reduction of social distancing from 2m to 1m and so we can accommodate up to 80 in the hall and 50 in Kinlochewe. There will also be an AGM on Wednesday 28th July at 7.30pm in the Church. The meeting will take the form of a short time of worship, a presentation of the Annual Accounts for 2020 and an opportunity to reflect on the year that has been and speak about the plans for the future. Please do come along if you are at all able. It is an important meeting for the congregation. A digital copy of the accounts are attached and hard copies will be available on the night. On Sunday morning at 11am Colin will be leading the TFC Worship Service in the Community Hall when I'll be continuing my series in Joshua. looking at Joshua 5: 'Preparing to Make Progress'. In this chapter as the Israelites are ready to move into the Promised Land, God tells them to make certain preparations before they move forward: he tells them to
Repeat his love for them (v2-10), Remember his Goodness to them (v11-12) and to Recognise his Presence with them (v13-15). This service will be livestreamed on Facebook. I will also preach this sermon in person in Torridon Hall at 4pm. Stuart will lead the TFC on line 5pm service looking at 2 Samuel 5. 1-16. This will be live streamed and can be accessed on the Facebook page www.facebook.com/GandDCofS/ The weather was dull and dreary this morning but as the day went on the sun shone and the temperature rose; it reminds me of Proverbs 4. 18, 'The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day'. The future is bright in Christ, and always will be whatever it looks like right now.
Stuart will lead the 11am TFC in person service in the Community Hall on Sunday morning where he will be looking at 2 Cor 5. 1-11. This will also be livestreamed to the Youtube page here (1) TFC Sunday Morning Service - 11th July, 11am - YouTube Colin will be leading the 4pm TFC in person service in Kinlochewe, looking at Joshua 4, 'Memory, Miracles and Meaning' as we continue making our way through Joshua on a Pilgrimage into Promises. On Sunday morning Colin will be leading the TFC in person service in the Community Hall at 11am and I plan to livestream this service via Facebook, so it should come up on your feed. We'll be looking at Joshua 3 and the Ark of the Covenant in that chapter. The Ark represented the presence of God with his people, and I'll be reflecting how the presence of God was Among the people 9v10), went Ahead of the people (v3-4, v11), was Amazing to the people (v5, v13) and was Allowed to be carried by the people (v3, v6, v12, v14). The question for us all with the presence of God, who is Jesus, is, 'are we raiders or routers? Tune in or come along to find out what I mean by that.
Stuart will lead the TFC 10.30am service in Badcaul continuing to look at 2 Corinthians. |
