As we approach yet another weekend we have a renewed opportunity to gather to worship either in person or on line for which we are thankful to the Lord.
On Sunday morning Donnie Macrae will lead the TFC in person service in the Gairloch Community Hall and that will also be ilvestreamed via our own Facebook page; Donnie is preaching on 2 Corinthians 8. 1-15 on the theme of giving. Colin will lead the TFC in person service in Kinlochewe at 4pm, and a pre-recorded version of that service will appear on our Facebook page at 5pm. I'm beginning a series on the 7 sayings of Jesus on the cross, with the first saying in Luke 23. 34, 'Father, forgive them, they do not know what they are doing'. We'll look at the Connection, Context and Content of this saying. We'll be singing Psalm 107. 26-31 (Scottish Psalter), Psalm 23 (Sing Psalms) and To God be the Glory and the hymn 'Forgive them, O my Father' by Cecil Alexander. I do hope and pray you can join us and be inspired, refreshed and give God the glory, through Jesus our Lord, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Colin will lead this Sunday morning's 11am in-person service in the Gairloch Community Hall, which will be livestreamed through Facebook also, and will be repeated at a 4pm in person service in Torridon Hall. I'll be looking at Mark 8. 31-38, 'Who does Jesus say he is?', focusing on the title, Son of Man. Reflecting on this we see It is a Mystery, There is a Marvel and describes Jesus as our Mentor as we follow in his footsteps. Sunday Club is on for all Primary aged kids.
Stuart will lead the TFC 5pm on-line service which will be uploaded and accessed through Facebook. I do hope and pray you are keeping well and being kept. We're nearly into another weekend and tomorrow night at 7pm in the Fellowship area of the church in Gairloch we'll be meeting for prayer around tables. PLease do join us if you can as a great way to prepare our hearts and minds for the Lord's Day and worship.
On Sunday morning at 11am in the Community Centre, Stuart will lead the TFC in person service which will also be livestreamed via the TFC Youtube page here Together for Christ - YouTube At 4pm Colin will lead the TFC in person service in Kinlochewe and a pre-recorded service will be aired at 5pm via our Facebook page as usual. I will be looking at Mark 8. 29-30- 'Who do you say I am?', Jesus asks the disciples. In these verses we'll reflect on the Spokesman, as Peter answers for the group, the Sovereign Monarch as Peter says Jesus is the Messiah, and the Secret Messiah as Jesus warns the disciples not to say anything about this. We'll be singing Psalm 47 (Sing Psalms) and Ps 24. 7-10 (Scottish Psalter) as well as Come People of the Risen King and Crown Him with Many Crowns. Looking forward to worshipping together, to the glory of the Lord Jesus. Colin will lead the TFC 11am in person service in the Gairloch Community Hall which will be livestreamed concurrently on our Facebook page Gairloch, Kinlochewe & Torridon Free Church of Scotland | Facebook.
I'll be starting a 3 part series on the identity of Jesus based on Mark 8. 27-36; on Sunday I'll be looking at verses 27-28, 'Who do people say I am?'. In these verses we'll see an Assumption, an Assertion and and Assignment. We'll be singing Psalm 72. 17-19 (Sing Psalms), 'How Sweet the Name of Jesus Sounds' and 'There is a Redeemer'. Stuart will lead the TFC 5pm on line service which can be accessed through the link to the TFC Youtube channel here Together for Christ - YouTube Sunday School for children of Primary age is also beginning on Sunday. Since there is no in person service in either Kinlochewe or Torridon on Sunday, given it's the first of the month, can I encourage folks to try and come to Gairloch for the 11am service? |
