Prayer Points 21st April - 27th April 2025
Monday 21st April
Covenant Church Newmilns
Please pray for links with the Verve, a local community group providing groups and services for those struggling with addiction, mental health issues and more. We partner with them to provide a food bank service, a ‘warm welcome’ every Saturday and more. Pray for good relations with other team members, that more of those who we meet through these links will join us on Sundays and at other events, and that those who’ve been coming along will prioritise church in the midst of lives which are often very chaotic.
Tuesday 22nd April
Dumisani
Pray with thanksgiving and for the final discernment over details for the May finalisation of the purchase of an adjacent house beside the Dumisani Library for male student accommodations. We are so grateful to all the Lord's people who have partnered with this major strategic development at Dumisani.
Wednesday 23rd April
Abbeygreen, Lesmahagow
Please pray for the congregation, that they would continue to know God’s blessing and provision during this time of vacancy for the church.
Thursday 24th April
Asian Outreach
I was invited to take part in a night-time Ramadan programme on a local South Asian radio station. We had a wide-ranging discussion on areas of commonality and difference between Muslim and Christian faiths. Please pray for all who heard the programme and particularly for R and Z (hosts of the radio programme).
Friday 25th April
Covenant Church Newmilns
Please pray for Stephen Strong, minister in training. Pray for his studies at ETS, that we will provide good opportunities, training and feedback and that Stephen, Hannah and Noah will know God’s blessing during this period of study and training, as they are a blessing to Covenant Church.
Saturday 26th April
Dumisani
Pray for lecturer Thinus Herman will be teaching Old Testament CCF for the second Term end of April and through May. We thank the Lord for Thinus and pray the blessing of the Lord upon his teaching.
Sunday 27th April
Abbeygreen, Lesmahagow
Pray that the Lord would would make clear the path forward, and that the congregation as they seek a minister would be granted wisdom.
