Sunday:
  • 11am: Gairloch - Harvest Thanksgiving Service
  • 2.30pm:  Torridon
  • 5pm:  Gairloch
There will be no Holiday Sunday Club and Creche today – all the children will remain in church for the Harvest Thanksgiving/Family Service.
Tea and Coffee served after the morning service.  All welcome.
Denominational Prayer Focus is on Urray and Strathconon and Knox Church, Perth.
Fellowship in the Manse after the evening service.  All welcome.

Prayer Meeting in Kinlochewe Church at 11am.  All welcome.
 
WEDNESDAY:
‘Together For Christ’ Mission Meeting in the Church of Scotland Hall at 7.30pm; Donald Garvie, Mission Africa, speaking.
 
SUNDAY :
‘Together For Christ’ Communion Service in Poolewe Hall at 10.30am (note earlier start), led by Dan Paterson (Lochewe Community Church).  The service is starting earlier to allow our own congregation to remain behind after the service for tea/coffee etc before coming over for our usual monthly Soup and Pudding Lunch in the fellowship area at 12.30pm.  The 5pm service will be a TFC Joint Service in Gairloch Free Church, and the speaker will be Laurie Chancellor, representing Release International.
 
Advance Notices
Sunday 3rd November – Soup and Pudding Lunch in the Fellowship area.  If you can provide a pudding and/or help with dishes, please speak to Jessie.
 
Sunday 10th November – Joint Remembrance Service in Gairloch Church of Scotland at 10am, followed by an Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial at 11am.
 
Saturday 16th November – The TEAR Fund BIG QUIZ NIGHT in Aultbea Church of Scotland will take place between 7-9pm; at hundreds of venues across the country teams will come together on the night to raise support and awareness of work in the world where the need is greatest; please come along and do the same.  Admission free (suggested donation of £5 to the work of Tearfund).  Refreshments provided.

Communion Weekend
  • Saturday 19th:  Kinlochewe 7pm
  • Sunday 20th:  Gairloch 11am (Communion) & 5pm.  
We welcome friends from Lochewe Community Church worshipping with us today.
We also welcome Rev Alasdair Macleod who is leading both services and will speak at a fellowship meeting after the evening service. 
Denominational Prayer focus on Greyfriars (Inverness) and Lochcarron and Applecross
No 2.30 pm service today.

Tuesday
Living Christianity in Edwin and Mary Ann's at 7 pm, looking at Christians and Work. Study sheets available in the fellowship area. All welcome. 

Wednesday

FOFL in the fellowship area at 7 pm, looking at Mouthpiece for Truth and Justice. Study sheets available in the fellowship area. 

Friday 
Interdenominational women's meeting at 10 am in the fellowship area. Please join us for a time of fellowship through bible study, sharing, praying, and a cup of tea. We will be looking at Romans 8. 17-30. 

Sunday
Harvest Thanksgiving/Family service in Gairloch at 11 am, Torridon service at 2.30 pm and Gairloch at 5 pm.

SATURDAY :
Communion Preparatory Service in Kinlochewe Church at 7pm.  Alasdair Macleod, the former Minister, preaching.  Kirk Session will meet at 6.30pm.
 
SUNDAY :
Communion Service at 11am and 5pm, in Gairloch.  Both Services taken by Alasdair Macleod.  This will be followed by a time of fellowship in the church.  The congregation of Poolewe and Aultbea Free Church will be joining us for the services.

Strath Care Home Service at 3.45pm today.
Denominational Prayer Focus is on the Free Churches in Dumfries and Raasay.
Fellowship in the Manse after the evening service.  All welcome.

Notices for the Week Ahead
MONDAY :
M & M’s at 7pm in the Aultbea Church where shoeboxes for Blythswood will be filled.  Items needed are empty shoeboxes, Christmas wrapping paper, shampoo, deodorant, combs/brushes, underwear/socks/tights, household candles, kitchen utensils or tools that fit into a shoebox; no toothbrushes as there are plenty!  All women welcome to come along and help.
 
TUESDAY :  
Extended Time of Prayer in Kinlochewe Church from 11am.  Come when you can and leave when you must.
 
WEDNESDAY:

Colin is away in Northern Ireland preaching so the services today will be taken by Alastair Renton (11am in Gairloch and 2.30pm in Kinlochewe) and Donnie MacRae (Gairloch 5pm).
 
Advance Notices
Church Walk on Tuesday 8th October.  The monthly walk of about 4 miles is to the Fairy Lochs including the wartime site.  Meet at the Golf Course Car Park, opposite Gairloch Church of Scotland at 10am.  Remember packed lunch and drink, together with appropriate footwear.  For further information, contact Jeremy Fenton on 01445 712663.
 
Communion Preparatory Service in Kinlochewe at 7pm on Saturday 19th October and Communion Services in Gairloch on Sunday 20th October.  Alasdair Macleod, the former minister in the congregation, will preach and we will be joined by the Poolewe and Aultbea congregation for these services.
