October 13th, 2022

13/10/2022

The prayer of Paul for the church in Colossae is my prayer for you all, and for myself:

'I continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will, through all wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way; bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of hos holy people in the kingdom of light. For he rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins' (Col 1. 9-14)

This afternoon we meet for prayer in Edwin and Mary Ann's at 2pm. Prayer is the powerhouse of the church. Much prayer, much power; little prayer, little power.

Please remember me as I attend a Kirk Session meeting in Lochcarron on Saturday morning at 10am; this will be Marcos's last meeting as Minister of Lochcarron and Applecross FC as they become vacant at the end of October, and begin a journey of searching for a new Minister. I will be their Interim Moderator for this time, which is like a Caretaker Minister in the meantime, so please pray for me and the elders there (Donald Stewart, Ewen Mackenzie, Tommy Mackenzie and Robert Coke [Assessor Elder])

On Sunday, we meet as usual at 11am and 5pm in Gairloch and 2.30pm in in Torridon.
