Sunday 7th November 2021

5/11/2021

This Sunday is the first Sunday of the month and so there will be no service in Kinlochewe or Torridon; please do come and join us for the TFC service of worship in Gairloch Community Hall at 11am. Colin will be leading the service which will also be livestreamed through Facebook at the same time.

Continuing the series on the seven sayings on the cross, we'll look at the fifth saying of Jesus, recorded in John 19. 28: 'Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, 'I am thirsty'. We'll reflect on the way this saying shows Jesus' Humanity, that he was truly thirsty; how it emphasises the Necessity of his remaining focused and free of sedation; how the Authority of Scripture over every area of life, including the last stages, is seen in his reference to Scripture, and the Finality of the bigger story which is the day when there will be no more thirsting.

We'll be singing 'As the Deer' and 'There is a Redeemer' from Worship Lyric Videos, 'Living Waters' by Keith and Kristyn Getty and Psalm 69. 1-4, 17-21 (Sing Psalms) .

Hope to see you there, one way or another!
