This Week

"Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom" (Isaiah 40:28). With this word of encouragement we step into today and the week that lies ahead.

Weekly Notices are as follows: 


Monday 30th October 
Tune in to 2LR at 7.22am for First Light Bible reading every Monday to Friday, and then On Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 8am you can watch a daily vodcast on our Facebook Page presented by myself as I read and reflect on the SU Word Live Bible Reading passage for the day. 

AGM at 7pm in the Fellowship Area with access by Zoom for those not able to attend in-person. 


Tuesday 31st October
Please remember the meeting of Presbytery in Sleat and Strath Free Church at 10am. As well as ordinary business we will be engaging in an interactive session on Revitalisation and Rural Ministry hosted by David Meredith and Ivor MacDonald. 
The Kirk Session/Deacons' Court meet tonight at 7pm on Zoom. Please pray for Iain, Robert, Edwin and myself as we meet, that our discussions and decisions will be Spirit led and Saviour focused. 


Wednesday 1st November 
CBS meets in the Church of Scotland Hall at 6.30pm for soup/cakes and then at 7pm for a time of praise and prayer


Saturday 4th November
Communion Preparatory Service at 7pm in Kinlochewe led by Rev Chris Davidson (Merkinch Free Church). 


Sunday 5th November 
Tune in to 2LR at 8am for Sunday Light, a compilation of the week's 'First Light' recordings, plus music and a Reflection on a Rural Reality by myself. 
Services today are led by Rev Chris Davidson: 11am Communion Service and 5pm Service, both in Gairloch. The service in Strathburn Care Home will be led by myself. Tune in to 2LR at 9.30pm for a recording of a Sunday service
